One run was the difference at the ballpark as the Chainsaw Proctologists
defeated the Lewisville Fire Ants in 10 innings 4 to 3.
The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Finally, Chainsaw
pulled the game out in the 10th inning. Dustan Mohr led off the inning for
Chainsaw when he drew a walk. Jaime Cerda then unleashed a wild pitch. Jose
Vidro then delivered a base-hit which scored a run. Lew Ford followed and he
lashed a single. Ford took off for second and slid in with a stolen base.
Jack Wilson joined his teammates in the uprising and hit a deep fly scoring
the final run of the inning. Both teams finished the game with 8 hits.
John Thomson(2-8) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 9 innings. Thomson was
helped out by Todd Jones who recorded his 5th save. Cerda(1-2) ended up with
the loss in relief.
The Chainsaw ballclub's record now stands at 25-41. With the loss, the
Lewisville ballclub's record is 29-37.
